2014 First Robotics Competition: Aerial Assist
Aerial Assist ScoringThe objective of the Aerial Assist is to score as many points as possible by skilled maneuvers and shooting the ball into four existing goals: two low goals (1 point) and two high goals (10 points). During the autonomous mode robots begin in the center "white" region of the arena. Moving forward towards the adjacent shooting region awards an immediate 5 points, and goals made during this period reward a bonus 5 points. During teleop mode, robots in the friendly alliance can utilize the assist system by passing the ball in direction of scoring a goal. Passing the ball requires possession across regions to obtain the assist recognition starting at 1 assist (solo possession- no bonus). During both teleop and autonomous mode, goals may become "hot" at random, which scoring upon will add a bonus of 5 points.
